In college, she owned her own business and after graduation worked for a Luxury Lifestyle Magazine (nMagazine) as their photography coordinator and event photographer.

Georgia Nick

Georgia Nick draws much of her creative inspiration from her travels in Spain and Europe. She studied the detail, perspective and lighting in the masterpieces there. These beautiful works of art inspired her to look for the feeling behind an image - such as the warmth in a golden sunset and the glee in a child’s eye. She tries to push the bounds of a camera’s technical limitations to capture fleeting moments of wonder, warmth and beauty.

B.J. Perkins

Perkins has been taking photos for over 30 years. In Miami, he photographed children and sometimes, the entire family. He worked only in natural light– and, when he photographed children, there were no smiles. He chose the clothes and the scene, but let the child assume their own pose and then, perhaps, improved it a little. "I loved seeing each child reveal himself in his own unique way and hitting the shutter at that exact moment!"

"When I moved to this area, I went back to school, graduated from UF, and have been a computer programmer for the state university libraries for nine years.  As part of my work, I design web pages and make images in Photoshop."

"When the camera came back into my life, it was a digital one!  And while I miss my old Mamiya RB 67, I love my digital Canon! Instead of children, I am photographing St. Augustine, its little windows from another era, the doors and the lovely arches. Since I grew up on North Carolina’s Outer Banks, I  love to photograph the sea. It’s always surprising. There is so much beauty in the world and I want to catch as much of it as I can!"
